Tuesday, April 28 will see the draw for the final tournament of Euro-2022 among U-19 teams (players born in 2003). The ceremony will take place in Slovakian Šamorín (start at 1:00 PM Kyiv time).

Currently, seven out of eight tournament participants are known. Besides the Slovak national team, which received a direct entry to the final stage as hosts, these are the winners of the elite round groups—Austria, England, Israel, Italy, Romania, and France. The last finalist will be determined in June during a mini-tournament where Ukraine's youth team will participate.

We remind you that the Ukrainian team is in Group 6, where they will face teams from the Netherlands, Norway, and Serbia. The matches were originally scheduled to take place from March 23 to 29 in the Netherlands. Due to the military aggression against Ukraine, UEFA changed the dates. Matches involving our team are planned for June 1, 4, and 7.

Euro-2022 (U-19)

The final tournament will take place from June 18 to July 1 in Slovakia. During the draw, eight participants (including the Group 6 winner) will be divided into two quartets, with two teams advancing to the semifinals from each group. A match for fifth place is also scheduled since the top five teams of Euro-2022 (U-19) will receive tickets to the 2023 World Cup (U-20) in Indonesia.

We remind you that Vladimir Yezersky's team in the qualifying round took first place in their group: they defeated Malta (4:2), Finland (2:1), and drew with Poland (2:2).
