Saturday, the national team started their day with work in the gym. The fitness trainer Vyacheslav Ruzhentsev proposed to the boys seven stations of physical exercises, including lying leg press, work with resistance bands, dumbbell lifts, jumps and squats with a barbell, and lifting onto a platform with weight.

Compared to previous similar work aimed at explosive muscle power, this time weight was added to the equipment and one more station was increased. Moreover, each exercise had to be repeated three times before moving on to the next one. By increasing the load against resistance, the coaching staff is preparing the team for a confrontation with representatives of British football.

In the afternoon, forward Roman Yaremchuk arrived at the camp. His "Benfica" match was rescheduled to an earlier date, so Roman did not rest an extra day but immediately flew from Lisbon to Ljubljana. Goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan greeted his old friend first at reception. Warm embraces and friendly greetings once again filled the accommodation of the blue-and-yellow team in Bled. Yaremchuk was the first among the legionaries to join the national team — it was noticeable how much he missed his teammates.

Together with Yaremchuk, there are now 23 players in the national team camp, and all of them participated in the evening training session. Roman enthusiastically joined the work which included warm-up exercises, ball control relay races, square drills, and game series.

Artem Dovbik has rejoined the main group. Doctors are still carefully monitoring his load in game series between him and Viktor Tsygankov, but already his participation in all aspects of training speaks to the fact that the boys are on their way to full recovery.

On Sunday, the national team of Ukraine is scheduled for two more training sessions.
