«The Cup League is connected with the reform of competitions we will implement in the 2026/2027 season. We believe it is beneficial to hold these matches about a week before the start of the second part of the season for First League teams, as the Higher League started its matches earlier, many players were involved in national teams, and First League teams have fewer matches in the season and, correspondingly, less game practice.»

That is why we decided to organize a tournament involving eight First League teams. It will help teams get additional game practice and facilitate their adaptation to possible promotion to a higher class.»
