Ukrainian Football Federation President Andriy Shevchenko met with European Commission Sport Commissioner Glen Micallef.
During the meeting, both sides discussed current issues in European and international football, particularly the stance on preventing Russian representatives from returning to participate in international competitions.
Glen Micallef previously publicly opposed initiatives regarding potentially lifting restrictions for Russian teams. Andriy Shevchenko thanked the Commissioner for his support.

Also, there was an important conversation between the president of UAF and FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Andriy Shevchenko reported on the serious situation in Ukraine due to Russia's military aggression and emphasized the impracticality of any attempts to lift a ban on Russians. At the UEFA congress in Brussels, no issues regarding the return of Russians were discussed.
