The Ukrainian national freestyle football player Illya Pryhodko has become the youngest to participate in European Championship matches. On January 25, in our team's match against Lithuania for Euro-2026 (4:1), he made his debut in official games at the age of 18 years and 72 days, according to AFU. Illya Pryhodko marked his debut with a goal-assist to Daniil Abakshin.

Previously, the youngest scorer in Euro history was Polish player Kasper Pawlus, who scored at 19 years and 168 days old. Thus, in upcoming Euro-2026 matches, Illya Pryhodko has the opportunity to once again inscribe his name into European handball history.
