By the end of 2025, the term of the coach's contract will expire. Due to personal reasons, Volodymyr Mykolaiovych will not be able to continue his work and has made a decision to leave the position of head coach of the national team.
Volodymyr P'yatenko has been in charge of the Ukrainian women's national team since September 2023. During this period, the blue and yellow team played 29 matches, winning 14 and drawing six times. The overall goal difference is 42-31.
P'yatenko's main achievement as head coach was reaching the second round of Euro-2025 playoffs, as well as improving the class in UEFA Nations League: already at the beginning of 2026, the Ukrainian team will start playing in Division A, where they will compete with teams from Spain, England, and Iceland.
In just over two years of work, the coach provided opportunities for 13 new players to showcase their talents at the national level, ten of whom have already made their debut in the national team.
We thank Volodymyr Mykolaiovych and his coaching staff for our joint efforts, results, and unforgettable emotions that Ukraine experienced together.
