The 16th round of the Ukrainian Premier League season 2025/2026 has concluded, with the leaders confirming their status. LNZ defeated "Zorya" (2:0), "Shakhtar" did not leave any chances for league newcomer "Epizentru" (5:0), and "Polesye" also secured a victory over "Karpaty" in an eventful match (3:2).

LNZ and "Shakhtar" finished the first half of the season with equal points (both 35), but thanks to additional indicators ("Shakhtar" won their head-to-head meeting) LNZ will winter at the top spot. Polesye, under Rotsan, is third, five points behind.

Players called up by Serhiy Rebrov for Ukraine's U21 squad matches against France (0:4) and Iceland (2:0) participated in the round: Taras Mykhavko, Nazar Voloshyn, Oleksandr Karavaev (substituted at 68 minutes) and Mikhaylo Shaparenko (came on as a substitute at 74 minutes) for Dynamo; Valeriy Bondar, Mykola Matviyenko, Oleh Ocheretnyk and Yegor Nazarina (substituted at 87 minutes) for Shakhtar; Yevheniy Volynets, Bohdan Mikhaylichenko and Oleksiy Hutsulyak (goal, two assists) for Polesye; Ivan Kalyuzhniy for Metalist 1925.

The Ukrainian Premier League is on winter break, with the base date for the next, 17th round set for February 21st.
