Today, December 2 in the Romanian city of Buftea, Ukraine's women's national team played their third and decisive match of the first qualifying round for Euro-2026 (WU-17) — against Romania.

In the first game of the tournament, coach Lyudmila Lemeshko's players lost to Switzerland (0:1), and in the second one — to Austria (0:4). Today, they faced Romania. For Ukraine's team to remain in Group A6, a victory was necessary.

And our team went ahead on the 75th minute thanks to Karina Lespuk's efforts. However, the opponents equalized at the 85th minute, and Iris Krischan's goal turned out to be decisive for determining the group's bottom team.

Unfortunately, blue-and-yellow ended up in League B, simultaneously losing their chance to play in Euro-2026 (WU-17).
