The sports event took place at six locations:

— football pitches for games and various playful and technical activities;

— a safety area run by DSNZ workers, where students learned about the rules of behavior with explosive items;

— an area with a psychologist who taught children emotional resilience and communication.

The event concluded with the ceremonial awarding of diplomas, commemorative t-shirts, and gifts to participants.

The event took place thanks to the community's participation in the "Open Football Festivals" project, which is being implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association in partnership with Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science.

In August, community coaches participated in a seminar organized by the UFA, gaining the necessary knowledge and practical skills for organizing such events.

The Ukrainian Football Association's "Open Football Festivals" project is:

  • youth leadership in communities;
  • psychosocial support for children of ZSU military personnel, IDPs, and war-affected children;
  • unity and friendship between IDP children and local children, social integration;
  • an inclusive environment in which everyone participates, including children with special educational needs;
  • safety knowledge in wartime conditions;
  • the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;
  • cultivation of a healthy lifestyle;
  • volunteer development;
  • activation of local communities through intersectoral networks (youth leaders, teachers, coaches, psychologists, safety experts, parents, local authorities, patrons, etc.).
