In October, during the match against Iceland (5:3) in Reykjavik within the qualification for the 2026 World Cup, Volodymyr Velitnyi, a midfielder from Polissya Zhityomir, made his debut for the national team of Ukraine by replacing his teammate Oleksiy Hutsulak at the 87th minute.
