Today, September 3rd, the Ukraine U-19 team (players born in 2007 and younger) will play their first match at an international tournament in the Spanish city of San Pedro del Pinatar. The opponent is England, kickoff time is 12:00 PM Kyiv time.
Live broadcast of the match — on the YouTube channel of the UAF.
“This is our final preparation stage before official matches. The team hasn't gathered for 15 months, after the final part of Euro-2024 (U-17). Of course, a lot has changed in youth football during this time. Some players who were in the starting lineup then now don't have game practice, others play less. But at the same time, new names have appeared. So it's important to get acquainted with boys who are called up to this team for the first time and understand the level of players who have progressed quite well during this period, especially during matches against such strong opponents. And it is very important for the coaching staff to explain again the philosophy of the national team's play and see how the players receive this information under pressure from teams like England, Netherlands, and Spain”, — noted the head coach of our team, Dmytro Mykhaylenko.
