The players of "Vorskla" fully utilized the home advantage, although the final score of 3-0 in the second round match against club "YUKSA" did not entirely reflect their play. Even according to Vorskla's head coach Alexander Babych, the visitors deserved at least one goal, especially in the first half, but they were off target.

In contrast, the hosts capitalized on their opportunities. The first two goals came from set pieces during flanking attacks, and when the Tarasivka players found themselves in a majority in the second half and pushed forward with great force, Vorskla managed to counterattack successfully, leading to the decisive defeat.

"Chornomorets" after an early lead against "Niva" traveled to Khmelnytskyi. However, it was the Odessans who dominated on the field. They quickly went ahead with a thunderous shot from veteran Yaroslav Rakitskyi. Podolyane only became active after halftime but failed to pose any real threat to the visitors' goal—Rakitskyi defended well and also contributed in defense. In the second half, Bukovynians stepped up their game and had a clear advantage. They should have scored from good positions with Oleg Kozhushko and Bohdan Boychuk missing out on goals. No wonder Agrobusiness's coach Oleksandr Chizhevsky was very satisfied with the 0-0 draw, while his Chernivtsi counterpart Serhiy Shishchenko did not hide his disappointment. "Bukovyna" lost more points—this is one of the unexpected results in the opening stretch.

The first wins of the season were recorded by "Ingulets" and "Left Bank"—respectively, over "Metalist" and "Proboi"—and they are now closing in on the top group.

Today's program for the second round concluded in Lviv with a match between "Phoenix-Maripol" and "Prykarpattia-Blago". The Ivano-Frankivtsi team, in case of victory, could have caught up to leaders "Vorskla" and "Chornomorets." They managed to do so. Once again, Andriy Khoma did not leave the field without a goal, opening the scoring early on. Near the end of the first half, Vasyl' Frantsuz scored his second, putting the outcome beyond doubt—0-2.
