The football season in Ukraine kicked off with a clash at the top of the second league, where 22 teams are participating in two groups formed on a territorial principle.
And already in the first round there were several unexpected results. Above all, in the central match in Group "A", players of "Skala 1911" at home failed to mount a serious challenge against mobile "Polesia-2", conceding — 1:3. For Polesians, the double was scored by the foreign player Jerry Yoka, but the most effective was their second goal, which Eugene Mykytyuk scored after a solo run.
Somewhat unexpected was also the outcome of the confrontation in Odessa, where last season's underachiever, "Real-Farma", managed to give a fight to the mid-table side, "Uzhhorod" — 1:1. However, visitors are to blame for their point loss as they failed to convert half a dozen goal-scoring opportunities.
And in Makarov, where relations were settled between debutants, "Lesne" and "Athlet", everything was logical. The entire group of players with experience in the UPL played for nominal hosts, and they resolved the question of the winner even before halftime, three times scoring against guests' goal. At the end of the match, the most famous player appeared in the lineup of "Lesne" — Denis Harmash, but despite his efforts, the score did not change — 3:0.

In the first half, hosts created several opportunities, but guests, among whom veteran Sergey Basov stood out, held firm. And on the 54th minute, captain of Kovelites, Sergey Shevchuk scored a goal that proved to be decisive. 0:1.
