The English teams «Everton» and «Bournemouth», defenders of the Ukraine national team Vitaliy Mykolenko and Illia Zabarny respectively, have conducted their first in a series of friendly matches as part of their preparation for the new 2025/2026 season.

On an away field, «The Toffees» drew with Second Football League (fourth division of the English championship) team «Accrington» (1:1). Mykolenko played the first half.

«Cherries» on one of their training fields behind closed doors defeated a representative of Scotland's top division, «Hibernian» (2:1). Zabarny appeared on the field after halftime. 

Thus, Vitaliy and Illia became the first players from the Ukraine national team to take the field following their summer break.
