In Montegiardino (Italy), the World Championship of futsal among athletes with hearing impairments concluded from June 14 to 27.

Eighteen teams participated in the tournament, which were divided into three groups. The Ukraine team was placed in Group B, where they faced off against the Kuwaiti, Swedish, Kazakhstani, Brazilian, and Finnish teams.

Based on the group stage results, where Ukrainians won one match, drew one, and lost three times, the blue-and-yellow team secured 4th place in their sextet and advanced to the consolation round for 9th-16th places.

Group Stage: Kuwait - Ukraine - 5:3, Sweden - Ukraine - 3:1, Ukraine - Kazakhstan - 1:1, Brazil - Ukraine - 4:3, Ukraine - Finland - 17:2.

Consolation Round (9th-16th place): Ukraine - Argentina - 5:2, Ukraine - Japan - 7:2, Ukraine - Kazakhstan - 6:2.

Thanks to three wins in the consolation stage, the Ukrainian team secured 9th place at the World Championship.
