In their opening match at the Euro-2025 (U-21), Ukraine's youth team lost to Denmark (2:3). After the game, midfielder Oleh Ocheretko commented on the play.

"I think we played well. We controlled the ball more and had better possession, but made many unnecessary mistakes. Overall, the match was in our hands. We just needed to play well defensively and not deviate from our game."

The atmosphere at the stadium was great because we almost always play without fans here in Ukraine. Such an atmosphere is very pleasant — when our supporters cheer us on," said Oleh Ocheretko.
