The tournament, held in honor of the legendary football player and coach Volodymyr Lozynskyi, was won by the Odessa team "Rishelieu". The silver medals went to the Lutsk team "Aborigene", while the bronze was claimed by Kyiv's "Dynamo Family". The championship was organized by the Ukrainian Association of Football Veterans, the Sobol family charity fund, and TOV "Agrobusiness" with support from the Ukrainian Football Association.
This year, 22 teams from 13 regions of Ukraine participated in the 55+ championship — from Lviv to Kharkiv, from Odessa to Volyn. The first stage consisted of regional tournaments organized based on geographical principles. Teams advancing to the final round included "Aborigene" (Lutsk), "Piryatin-Poltava", "Rishelieu" (Odessa), "Spartak-Veteran" (Poltava), the Lviv Region Veterans League team, and "Dynamo Family" (Kyiv).

This year's 55+ championship was the most mass-participation event in recent years. Despite the war and the inability of teams from occupied territories to participate, the tournament is free for participants, with all expenses covered by organizers — accommodation and meals for participating teams, stadium rentals, refereeing, etc. Note that in the second half of 2025, championships are planned for veterans aged 35+, 45+, and 60+. Therefore, football players of all age categories have an opportunity to taste great football and participate in a nationwide tournament.
