Defender of Donetsk's "Shakhtar" Valeriy Bondar commented on his team's victory in the final of the Vbet Cup 2024/2025 against Kyiv's "Dynamo" (1:1, penalty shootout - 6:5).

"After the first half, our main coach calmed us down in the locker room. Since this goal at the 43rd minute was not particularly necessary for us. Pushysh said that there were still at least 45 minutes ahead of us. He reminded us that 'Dynamo' played against us with a score of 0:2. Then we discussed how we would act in certain moments during attack and defense. We made some adjustments and started playing differently - adding more energy and aggression.

Did anything weigh on us before the match? Probably not. We understand that 'Shakhtar' always sets high goals for itself. First of all, we wanted to please our fans who worry about us and feel anxious for us. This season has been unsuccessful for us in the league, but we won the cup and gave some good emotions. Winning a cup is pleasant, and I hope we made many people happy today.
