The football players of "Epichentru" not only secured their direct promotion to the UPL well before the finish, but also prematurely earned the title of the strongest team in the first league.

This became known after Podoliany took the lead over the nearest pursuer — "Poltava" in the sixth round of the championship group. Initially, the city dwellers scored against their own goal, but the final word was with Ivan Bendera — 2:0. "Epichentru" has secured ten consecutive wins and can afford to rest some players who have not had enough game practice in the last two rounds.

And in Chernivtsi, the local "Bukovyna" disappointed their fans in a match against another contender for promotion — "Metalist 1925". Although initially everything was going well for the hosts, they even scored an early goal. But Kharkiv residents did not hesitate to respond: first, experienced Vladlen Yurchenko effectively equalized the score, and before halftime, the foreign player Ermir Rashica finished his solo run with a shot under the crossbar.

In the second half, Slobozhans maintained their winning score — 2:1 and strengthened their chances for promotion. Bukovynians, having suffered two consecutive defeats, will have to play in the first league again next season. Throughout the tournament, they were unable to solve their problem of finishing off attacks.

"Metalist" is also trying not to fall behind competitors today by beating ambitious "Kudryvka" — 2:0.
