Main coach of the Ukraine national futsal team Oleksandr Kosyenko summarized the Euro-2026 qualifying campaign, which his team won with a perfect record.

— Mr. Oleksandr, six wins in six matches qualifying for Euro... This team continues to win...

— We prepare for each game, we want to win, and it works out. Once again, I thank the boys because it seems like we've qualified for the European Championship, but they still came out and maintained their reputation, secured a victory, and completed this qualifying round with maximum points. 

So I congratulate the players, fans, and thank them for supporting us. In general, I want to thank everyone, first of all — the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who give us the opportunity to play. 

Also, I thank everyone who supports the national team during this difficult time. The boys repay with their inspired play. 

— Today you had an opportunity to experiment in an official match. How successful were these experiments,, and are you satisfied with them? 

— I wouldn't say they were such experiments. We tried different combinations. I think everything is fine: in the first half, one set played, in the second — another. Everything's okay, the final result is a win, so we move forward. 

— The Romanians pleasantly surprised not only with their play but also with an act when the minute of silence began by mutual agreement. Tell us about this arrangement between Ukraine and Romania. 

— We wanted to honor the memory of those killed in a terrible terrorist attack. Honestly, it hurts my heart and soul. The Romanians understood everything and immediately supported us by saying that it's really important for the whole world to know about this. 

What is happening — is horrifying. So we thank Romania once again...

Final Standings

The draw for the final tournament is scheduled for October 24. During the ceremony at "Žalgiris Arena" in Kaunas, four groups of four teams will be formed, and then the top two teams from each quartet will advance to the quarter-finals.

16 participants will take part in Euro-2026: Latvia and Lithuania as hosts, winners of 10 group stages (besides Ukraine, these are already Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Armenia, Belarus), and four winners from the play-off matches involving eight second-best teams. The main round will end on April 16. The draw for the knockout stage matches will take place on May 21, with games scheduled from September 15 to September 24.
