Today, April 3, the 49th consecutive UEFA Congress took place in Belgrade, Serbia. The event was held at the Sava Congress Center and gathered representatives of national football associations from all over Europe.

Among the key agenda items were elections to UEFA's governing bodies. As a result of the voting, eight new members of the Executive Committee were elected for a four-year term, while two others were elected for a one-year term. Thank you to all associations that voted for Ukraine’s representative Andriy Shevchenko.

The composition of UEFA's Executive Committee members elected (reelected) at the 49th Congress: Lise Klaveness (Norway), Frank de Boer (Netherlands), Gabriele Gravina (Italy), Hans-Joachim Watzke (Germany), Marijan Kustić (Croatia), Ari Lahtinen (Finland), Aivar Põldak (Estonia), Armen Mkrtchyan (Armenia) — four-year term; one-year term — Abal Rafael Luzan (Spain), Moshe Zouari (Israel).

In addition to the elections, delegates heard UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin and the Executive Committee's report for 2023/2024, as well as the organization’s financial statement. The delegates approved the budget for the 2025/2026 financial year and discussed updates to UEFA committees.
