The Ukrainian U-20 football team (players born in 2005 or later) will play two friendly matches in Turkey as part of their preparation for the World Cup in 2025.

During the Turkish training camp, the blue and yellow team will play two friendlies: on the 22nd against Northern Ireland U-21 (kick-off at 4 PM Kyiv time), and on the 25th against Norway U-20 (2 PM).

This is one of the stages in preparation for the World Cup (U-20) which will take place in Chile in autumn 2025, a tournament that our team qualified for by reaching the semi-finals of Euro 2024 (U-19) in Northern Ireland.

"We are meeting with this team eight months after the European Championship. The squad has an opportunity to play two friendly matches, and one of the opponents, Norway, will also participate in next year's World Cup. And Northern Ireland is a tough opponent as well. Therefore, I am confident that these friendlies will be beneficial for us. Additionally, the coaching staff wants to get acquainted with footballers who have never been called up to this team before. We aim to renew connections with the boys we already know," — noted head coach of Ukraine's U-20 team Dmitro Mykhaylenko the day before.

A live broadcast of today’s match between our team and Northern Ireland U-21, which will take place in the city of Belek, is scheduled on the YouTube channel of the Ukrainian Football Association (kick-off at 4 PM Kyiv time).
