From February 9, the Ukraine U-17 national team is conducting a training camp in Croatia as part of their preparation for the second qualifying round of Euro 2025. The camp will run until February 18 and includes two friendly matches. The delegation is led by Unai Melgosa, the coordinator of youth and junior teams' work, with Oleksandr Sitnik serving as head coach.

Today, on February 13, our young players faced Turkey's team. In the first half-hour of the match, Ukraine had an advantage; one can recall shots from Shishkewych and Korzh. However, Onyshchuk received a straight red card in the 34th minute, after which the Turks missed several opportunities.

For the second half, Oleksandr Sitnik completely changed the lineup of Ukraine's national team. However, only ten players managed to play. Nevertheless, our boys were able to score — on the 64th minute, Kucheravyi converted a penalty he himself had earned. After that, not only did the Ukrainians focus on defense but also launched several decent attacks, including dangerous shots from Hamzik. Unfortunately, in the added time, the Turks managed to equalize — 1:1.

The next friendly match for Ukrainian juniors will be held on February 16 against Greece (kickoff at 16:00 Kyiv time).
