But our team ended their run in the final tournament with four points, which was a true statistical miracle. Usually, such a number of points would have been enough to advance to the next round, but here there was an exception to the rule.
The team of Sergiy Rebrov qualified for the final tournament thanks to two wins in the March playoff stage against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland. And this was the only completely positive mini-tournament for us.
After that, there was a very poor start to Euro 2024 with Romania, followed by two consecutive losses in September at the beginning of UEFA Nations League against weaker teams. Both times our boys found the strength to play out the game. But who knows what could have been achieved if Ukraine hadn't given such an advantage to their opponents...
