On December 13, Ukraine's youngest national team, U-15 (players born in 2010 or later), began their campaign at the UEFA Development Tournament in Portugal.
The competition is being held at the Cidade do Futebol sports complex in Lisbon.
In their opening match, the Blue and Yellow team faced the hosts. Portugal dominated the first half and scored two goals — Martim Ribeiro capitalized on two defensive mistakes by Ukraine.
At the start of the second half, Bodak had a good chance but couldn't beat the goalkeeper. Portugal continued to threaten Ukraine's goal regularly, and in the 72nd minute, Simão Lopes scored with a brilliant strike. Ukraine had a few chances but couldn't find the net, and the match ended 3:0.
Ukraine's next opponents will be Italy (on December 15) and Turkiye (on December 18). Both matches are scheduled to begin at 13:00 Kyiv time.
