Dnipro Donetsk 'Shakhtar' U-19 conducted their sixth match in the main round of the UEFA Youth League, where they lost to Munich's 'Bayern' U-19.

An away draw with Dutch PSV (1:1) in the 5th round of the UEFA Youth League allowed Dnipro Donetsk 'Shakhtar' to qualify prematurely for the Round of 16.

Today, the Ukrainian team met with their counterparts from 'Bayern' at the 'Parkstadion' in Gelsenkirchen. In the first half, the Munich side had an undeniable advantage and delivered ten shots on target against the Donetsk players who responded with only one. The goal for the visitors came in the 38th minute when Scott intercepted a back pass from Bundaš and scored with a shot from a sharp angle.

Immediately after halftime, Tsyukanov attempted a shot from 15 meters but it was saved by the Bayern goalkeeper. Tyutyunov delivered another decent shot on target in the 77th minute, yet Klanač made the save again. However, in the 80th minute, Unzel, finding himself in a shooting position, did not miss his chance. Thus, the final score was 0:2 — a loss for 'Shakhtar'.

The players of Oleksiy Belik will now participate in the UEFA Youth League knockout stage. Their opponent will be determined on December 20th.
