EURO 2026 (U-19): Ukraine opponents in the qualifying round revealed
On Thursday, December 5, the draw for the UEFA EURO 2026 U-19 qualifying round took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
A total of 52 teams were divided into 13 groups of four. The host nation, Wales, has automatically qualified for the final tournament, while Spain will join the competition in the elite round.
Following the qualifying round, the top two teams from each group and the best third-placed team will advance to the elite round, joining Spain. The elite round, scheduled for spring 2026, will consist of seven groups, with the winners of each group earning a spot alongside Wales in the UEFA EURO 2026 U-19 final tournament.
Ukraine’s U-19 team (currently U-18, featuring players born in 2007) was placed in Pot A for the draw, based on the UEFA ranking for this age category over the past four seasons.
