On Thursday, December 5 in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw procedure for the qualifying round of Euro-2026 (U-19) will take place.

The draw will begin at 10:00 AM Kyiv time. During it, 52 teams will be divided into 13 groups with four participants each. The host of the final stage, Wales' national team, has automatically received a bye for this tournament, while Spain's national team will enter the battle in the elite round of qualification.

Based on the results of the qualifying round, the top two teams from each group, as well as the best third-placed team among those that qualify, will join Spain in the elite round. This round will take place in spring 2026 and will determine seven national teams across seven groups to join Wales in the final stage of Euro-2026 (U-19).

The Ukrainian youth team (currently U-18, players born in 2007) based on the UEFA ranking formed over the last four seasons of this age category, will enter the qualifying round draw for Euro-2026 (U-19) in Pot A.

Pot Composition for the Qualifying Round of Euro-2026 (U-19)

Each quartet will have one team from each seeding pot.

Pot A: Italy, France, Portugal, Norway, England, Israel, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Ireland, Denmark, Turkey, Romania, Serbia.

Pot B: Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Slovakia, Iceland, Croatia, Poland, Austria, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland, Northern Ireland.

Pot C: Slovenia, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Armenia, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Belarus, Cyprus, Bulgaria.

Pot D: Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Albania, Andorra, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Gibraltar.

The hosts of the mini-tournaments in each group will be agreed upon after the draw. Matches in each mini-tournament will take place within one of the following windows:

September 1-9, 2025;

October 6-14, 2025;

November 10-18, 2025.
