The head coach of the Georgia national team, Willi Sunjaul, commented on the draw with Ukraine (1:1) in the 5th round of the Nations League-2024/2025.

"I believe we started the game very well, but the mistake we made during the episode with Ukraine's goal forced us to play not as well for the last 20 minutes of the first half."

I think my players played at a very high level. It’s hard to analyze the entire match right away, but I believe that the second half was one of our best in the time I have been coaching the Georgia national team.

I am somewhat disappointed because I feel that due to our play after halftime we deserved more. However, we made a few mistakes that at this level can cost us dearly," — Sunjaul stated among other things.
