Today, November 13, the Ukrainian youth team (football players born in or after 2006) begins its competition in the qualification round of Euro-2025 (U-19).

From November 13 to 19, the Ukrainian youth team U-19 will participate in the qualification round for Euro-2025 in the Netherlands. In addition to the hosts, they will face teams from Kazakhstan and Slovenia.

Today, our team starts with a match against Kazakhstan. A live broadcast is planned on the YouTube channel of the UAF.

“We have enough information. A month ago, we even saw the hosts live when our team was in Spain for a training camp. I wouldn't delve into their actions for obvious reasons. We will try to exploit the weaknesses of our opponents during the matches themselves. The coaching staff will certainly show and explain how to play against each opponent.”

“The Netherlands is a strong team, so I think they are the clear favorites in our group. As for the others, I definitely don't want to underestimate any opponents. Slovenia is currently on an upward trend. This applies to all teams, starting with the national one. Many players in the U-19 squad play in Italy, which speaks volumes. Regarding Kazakhstan, their players represent local clubs. So until qualification matches begin, I believe everyone has equal chances.”

“Our goal is to advance to the elite round of the tournament, and from what position — that's not so important,” said the head coach of Ukraine's youth team Dmitry Mykhaylenko on the eve of the event.

In upcoming matches, the coach expects to rely on 21 players.

It should be noted that the English club Manchester United player Zakhar Baumann, who has Ukrainian roots and recently obtained a Ukrainian passport, was called up to the national team.
