A mini-football tournament in memory of the Ilovaisk tragedy took place in Kyiv

The women's national beach soccer team of Ukraine conducted a training camp in Kyiv's Hydropark as part of their preparation for the Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2024 international tournament.
The head coach of our team, Yurii Klimenko, called up 12 players for this camp, out of which 10 (exactly as required by the regulations) will travel to the competition in Saudi Arabia.

"Our camp in Kyiv lasted a bit more than a week. Eight of the girls who will travel to Saudi Arabia were present at the camp. Unfortunately, players from Portuguese clubs (Iryna Dubitska and Anastasiia Teresh) could not attend. Instead, Mariia Vypasnyak from Poland participated in the work. We also had four newcomers who are candidates for the national team next season. We plan to call them up again.
I am satisfied with the results of the camp. We completed its program, although some players were not fully involved due to their final in the Ukrainian Cup of futsal. Therefore, we did not overload them too much with physical exercises. We worked more on tactics and technique, restoring game condition on sand since they had not played on it for two months. Some players needed a bit of functional improvement.
Our trip to Saudi Arabia will take over two days due to all the layovers. On November 12th, we have planned training followed by matches right after that. Our opponents are very serious, but it's good because it makes the game more interesting. Of course, our task is maximal, and we'll see how it goes. We're preparing for a fight,"— said Yurii Klimenko.
As a reminder, the international beach soccer tournament Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2024 will take place from November 13th to 16th in Saudi Arabia. Our women's national team will play against teams from Spain, England, and Brazil.

Based on the group stage results, teams will play for third place and the final on November 16th.
