Ukraine futsal team defeats Czechia in second friendly match
Today, on November 6, Ukraine’s futsal team played their second friendly match against Czechia.
Preparing for the EURO 2026 qualifiers, Oleksandr Kosenko's squad defeated the Czech team 3:2 in their first encounter in Frýdek-Místek.
The second match saw a balanced first half, with both teams creating scoring chances. However, it was Ukraine who found the net, as Vladyslav Pervieiev scored from mid-range in the 4th minute, making it 1:0.
Early in the second half, Ukraine displayed a brilliant combination play. Andriy Melnyk headed the ball to Rostyslav Semenchenko, who volleyed it perfectly into the top corner. Just a minute later, Mykhailo Zvarych converted a vertical pass from Danylo Abakshyn, tapping it in for a 3:0 lead.
Czechia reduced the deficit after a goalkeeper error allowed Tomáš Kuchta to score. Then, in the 29th minute, Pavel Drozd connected with a two-pass play to make it 3:2.
But Ukraine responded quickly. In the 33rd minute, Semenchenko netted from a corner kick, and four minutes later completed his hat-trick with a pinpoint strike across the court. Nazar Shved added the final goal in the last minute, sealing Ukraine’s victory at 6:2.
