U-21: Unai Melgosa announces Ukraine squad for friendly matches against Portugal and Italy

Ukraine’s U-21 national team head coach, Unai Melgosa, has announced the squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Portugal and Italy.

In November, Ukraine's U-21 team will play away against Portugal and Italy to prepare for the UEFA U-21 EURO 2025 finals. Melgosa has called up 24 players for these fixtures.

Ukraine U-21 Roster:

Goalkeepers: Ruslan Neshcheret (Dynamo Kyiv), Heorhiy Yermakov (Oleksandriya), Ivan Pakholyuk (Kolos Kovalivka).

Defenders: Arseniy Batagov (Trabzonspor, Turkey), Volodymyr Salyuk (Metalist 1925 Kharkiv), Roman Didyk, Vitaliy Roman (both — Rukh Lviv), Taras Mykhavko, Kostyantyn Vivcharenko (both — Dynamo Kyiv), Illia Krupskyi (Vorskla Poltava), Denys Kuzyk (Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih).

Midfielders: Anton Tsarenko, Maksym Khlan (both — Lechia, Poland), Ivan Varfolomeyev (Slovan, Czechia), Maksym Melnychenko (Polissya Zhytomyr), Oleh Ocheretko (Karpaty Lviv), Valentyn Rubchynskyi, Maksym Bragaru, Nazar Voloshyn (all — Dynamo Kyiv), Oleksandr Yatsyk (Zorya Luhansk), Illia Kvasnytsia (Rukh Lviv).

Forwards: Bohdan Vyunnyk (Lechia, Poland), Ihor Krasnopir (Rukh Lviv), Ihor Horbach (Zorya Luhansk).

The friendly match between Portugal and Ukraine will take place on November 15 in Alverca do Ribatejo, a parish in the Lisbon district. The match at the Alverca stadium will kick off at 19:30 Kyiv time.

The Italy vs Ukraine match will be held in Spezia on November 19. The game at the Alberto Picco stadium will start at 19:15 Kyiv time.
