Today, on October 29 in Chisinau at the «Zimbru» arena, the women's national team of Ukraine will play a home match in the first round of the Euro-2025 playoffs against Turkey. The first match between these teams in Istanbul ended in a draw — 1:1.

“It's not excluded that the girls prematurely believed they could take on the mountain without much effort. After halftime, we lacked concentration and clear cover, which the hosts took advantage of to equalize. There were half-chances but neither team converted them. It's unfortunate that we couldn't maintain our lead, now we will have to rely on what we have”, — said head coach of Ukraine's women's national team Volodymyr Pyatenko after the match in Turkey.

We add that in case of success, the women's national team of Ukraine will play against the winner of the Greece-Belgium pair in the second round of playoffs from November 27 to December 3. There was also a draw recorded in their first match as well — 0:0.
