“It’s very disappointing to lose in matches where we, in my opinion, were at least not weaker and at times even better than the Brazilians. I thank the guys. They gave it their all. We lacked a bit in finishing at 2:2. If we had scored, we could have hoped for victory. But, unfortunately… I feel very sorry for the guys. They gave everything. They deserved more.
We once had a chance and didn’t win medals. I hope we seize the opportunity this time. We will see who our opponent will be in the bronze medal match. I hope we recover well, and I believe each of the guys wants to return home with positive emotions and win the bronze medals,” said Oleksandr Kosenko, as reported by the press service of the Futsal Association of Ukraine.
Additionally, Ukrainian futsal players still have a chance for medals. On October 6 in Tashkent, they will compete for third place against the loser of the Argentina vs. France match.
