EURO 2025 (U-21): Unai Melgosa selects Ukraine U-21 squad for upcoming England and Serbia matches
Ukraine's U-21 team is set to play their next EURO 2025 qualifying matches against England and Serbia. Head coach Unai Melgosa has called up 24 players for these crucial encounters.
On October 11, Ukraine will face England in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifiers. The match will occur at Dean Court Stadium in Bournemouth, with kickoff at 21:45 Kyiv time.
On October 15, Ukraine will play Serbia at the FSS Sports Center in Stara Pazova. The match is set to begin at 21:30 Kyiv time.
It is worth noting that the Ukraine U-21 team has won all eight of their matches, securing a spot in the final tournament. Alongside Ukraine, the qualified teams include the host nation Slovakia, Netherlands, and Spain. Nine more participants will be determined from the group stage matches in October, and three from the playoff rounds between November 11-19. The playoff draw is scheduled for October 17, with the final tournament draw, featuring 16 teams (four groups of four), set for December 3 in Bratislava.

Midfielders: Ivan Varfolomeyev (Slovan, Czechia), Maksym Melnychenko (Polissya Zhytomyr), Oleh Ocheretko (Karpaty Lviv), Valentyn Rubchynskyi, Nazar Voloshyn, Maksym Bragaru (all Dynamo Kyiv), Yehor Yarmolyuk (Brentford, England), Oleksandr Yatsyk (Zorya Luhansk), Oleh Fedor, Illia Kvasnytsia (both Rukh Lviv), Maksym Khlan (Lechia, Poland).
