WU-15: Ukraine starts UEFA Development Tournament with win against Greece
Today, September 28, the Ukraine WU-15 women's team (players born in 2010) kicked off their participation in the UEFA Development Tournament taking place in Moldova.
The Ukrainian team face their peers from Moldova, Lithuania, and Greece during the competition. According to the tournament regulations, each team plays three matches. All games are held at the local football association fields in the city of Vadu lui Vodă.
Three points are awarded for a win, while a draw leads to a penalty shootout, with the winner receiving two points and the loser one.
In their opening match, the Blue and Yellows defeated Greece 2:1, scoring the decisive goal in the 84th minute. Following this first round, our team leads the table with three points.
