In the 5th round of Italy's Serie A, Genoa's half-back for Ukraine Ryslan Malinovskiy faced Venezia.

The Ukrainian played only 50 minutes but not by his own choice. At the beginning of the second half, while saving his team's goal, Ryslan sustained a visibly motoric injury. He was carried off the field on a stretcher. The extent of the injury is currently unknown.

The match ended with the home team winning 2-0.

Currently, 'The Griffins' are in 11th place in the Italian championship table with five points.
