U-18/19: Ukraine suffers defeat in second friendly with Switzerland

The Ukraine U-18/19 team (players born no later than 2006) gathered for their first training camp of the year.

The Ukrainian squad, preparing for the EURO 2025 (U-19) qualification round in November, began their training camp in Switzerland on September 2.

The team scheduled two friendly matches against their Swiss counterparts. The first game ended in a 2:2 draw.

Today, on September 9, in the town of Wil, the second friendly match took place. The Swiss team scored twice in the first half and missed a penalty. In the 71st minute, Ukraine reduced the deficit when Lobko capitalized on a goalkeeper's mistake and set up Vydysh, who slotted the ball into an empty net.

Despite their efforts, Dmytro Mykhailenko's team ultimately lost 1:2.
