The main group of players, consisting of 18, traveled by train to Warsaw today, from where they flew to Riga. Four more players are expected to arrive in Riga on different flights by the end of the day: Fesyun from Chișinău, Yarmolyuk from London, Varfolomeyev from Prague, and Batagov from Istanbul. The participation of Lechia Gdańsk player Khlan is in doubt, with an MRI set to determine the seriousness of his injury.

Unfortunately, Dynamo Kyiv's Kostyantyn Vivcharenko, who was on Unai Melgosa's list, has fallen ill and will not be able to join the team. He will be replaced by Rukh Lviv's Yaroslav Karabin.

On September 3rd, Ukraine's U-21 team will begin their preparation process, which will include daily training and theoretical sessions.
