Kryvbas beaten by Betis in Conference League play-off first leg

Today, Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih faced Spain's Betis in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League qualifying play-off round.

Yuriy Vernydub's team hosted their opponent in Košice, Slovakia. The first half was dominated by the visitors, who managed 10 shots on Andriy Klishchuk's goal. The Ukrainians responded with only one shot, which wasn’t on target.

The 13th minute proved unlucky for Kryvbas. Altimira struck from outside the box, and Klishchuk parried the ball straight to Ávila, who calmly slotted it into the net.

The pattern continued in the second half, with Betis pressing and creating dangerous chances. However, they were only able to convert one more opportunity. In the 62nd minute, Rodri entered Kryvbas' penalty area and accurately fired into the far corner.

The match ended 2:0 in favor of Betis, leaving Kryvbas with a tough task in the return leg.
