The second league kicked off with a match between "Sambir-Niva-2" and "Skala 1911" in Sambor, located in Lviv Oblast, where the locals will host opponents from Group A.

Fans who attended the local stadium witnessed a tense battle but without any goals — 0:0. This outcome was quite unexpected as "Sambir-Niva-2" is a newcomer to the second league, while ambitious "Skala 1911" does not hide its desire to move up in class.

In contrast, in the match between "Chernihiv" and "Metalist 1925-2", which opened today's schedule of the first round, there was a real goal-fest: the hosts scored eight times against their guests, conceding only twice. Experienced half-back of "Chernihiv" Vyacheslav Koidan sealed his brace by opening the scoring in the second league on the 5th minute. Naturally, the home team topped the Group B standings.

No luck was had for fans in Vinnytsia and Makariv, where there were no goals scored in matches between "Niva" and "Trostyanets'" as well as "Chayka" and "Kolos-2", respectively.

Already at the start, there was no shortage of surprises. The match in Sambor has already been mentioned, while "Hirnyk-Sport" lost to "Oleksandria-2" — 1:2 at home, and "Real-Farma" was completely outplayed by newcomer "Revero-1908" in Odessa — 0:3.
