Ihor Krasnopir: "I believed we could score until the very end"

Forward Ihor Krasnopir shared his thoughts on the match against Morocco, which saw the Ukraine Olympic team secure a 2:1 victory on July 27.

"I received the pass from Rubchynskyi to Fedor, who made the cross. I arrived at the right moment and tapped the ball into the empty net. I believed until the very end that we would score and find our moment. I’m very happy and grateful to God.

It was a very tough win. So tough that it’s hard to even express the emotions. It was especially challenging with the intense support from the Moroccan fans in the stands. The pressure and jeering were distracting, but as professionals, we need to adapt to all circumstances.

We move forward because this win doesn't change everything yet. Now, we are focusing only on Argentina. We will prepare, analyze, and aim for victory. We’re forgetting this result and moving only ahead!"
