Denmark wins UEFA eEURO 2024, Ukraine reaches Europe's TOP 8

On Sunday, July 7, Berlin, Germany hosted the UEFA eEuro 2024 Championship.

In the final stage of this continental championship, featuring 1vs1 matches in the FC 24 simulator on the PS5 platform, eFootball players from Germany (Umut), Denmark (RBLZ Vejrgang), Ukraine (CIG_ST92_UA), Spain (ADRIANCIFUENTES), Israel (eden_fines12), Italy (Obrun2002), Norway (Res_Andreas), and Turkey (iMertAL) competed.

The tournament bracket for UEFA eEuro 2024 consisted of four pairs, converging in a Single Elimination playoff format conducted in Online Friendlies mode.

Andriy CIG_ST92_UA Shakalov was slated to face the tournament favorite, RBLZ Vejrgang from Denmark, in the quarterfinal match. The Ukrainian surprised his opponent by scoring two goals in the first half, but the opponent managed to turn the game around and secured a 5:2 victory.

Ultimately, the Danish eFootballer emerged victorious in the tournament, defeating the representative from Germany in the semifinals and clinching the title in the final.

The UEFA eEuro 2024 trophy marks a career-first for RBLZ Vejrgang, while Andrii CIG_ST92_UA Shakalov's participation in this European forum for FC 24 represents a premiere for Ukrainian eFootball in EA SPORTS discipline.

"Andrii CIG_ST92_UA Shakalov has performed remarkably and emerged as the top FC player in our country. He reached the quarterfinals of UEFA eEuro 2024, leading our national team to its first-ever international LAN tournament and the first final stage of the tournament in EA SPORTS FC simulator history. Our players haven't achieved such success representing Ukraine on the international stage in over 15 years.

This achievement is solely credited to Andrii CIG_ST92_UA Shakalov and manager Oleh Shustenko, who supported him throughout the entire tournament, including in Berlin," noted Vladyslav Shovkovskyi, President of the Ukrainian Association of EFootball.
