EURO 2024. Latest from Ukraine's camp: national team holds first training session in Warsaw

Waking up in the Polish capital after yesterday's arrival from Germany, the blue-yellow squad had a busy day ahead.

In the first half of the day, they focused on tactical analysis of the match against the Germans, followed by a meeting with UEFA CPR Goal program specialists, who train players in providing emergency aid on the pitch.

Footballers are often the first to respond to a colleague who loses consciousness or suffers a heart attack on the field. Therefore, this program was organized to help players learn how to assess whether a person is breathing, position their head correctly, and perform artificial respiration in crucial moments. The players worked in groups, practicing on specialized mannequins. They approached this matter responsibly, while still maintaining their sense of humor.

Later in the evening, the team had its regular training session at the stadium of the Polish First League club Polonia (Warsaw). This arena is well-known to most players as the national team trained here during one of the autumn camps in 2022.

Starting with a warm-up and stretching, the players then divided into groups for passing drills and tactical exercises. In the final part of the training, they split into three groups: one played tennis-ball football, while the other two worked on set pieces.
