The season project in the first league involves 16 teams playing through two stages.

Group Stage. The Ukrainian First League Championship is held under a round-robin system over two rounds, at home and away, in two groups — A and B.

Final Stage. The top two teams from each of the A and B groups advance to the playoff stage for determining the winners of the First League: semi-finals (A1—B2, B1—A2), followed by a final match and a third-place match.

As reported by The All-Ukrainian Association of Women's Football, based on the results of 14 played rounds in the group stage, the best teams in each group are: «Minay» (Minay), «Polesia» (Zhytomyr), «Sisters» (Odessa), and «Obolon» (Kyiv).

These four teams will compete for the championship titles and the right to continue fighting for promotion on May 21st and 23rd. All matches of the final stage will take place in Kyiv at NTU named after V. Bannikov. In case of a tie result during regular time in playoff matches, extra time (two halves of 15 minutes each) will be added. If even extra time ends in a draw, a penalty shootout will be held.

Based on the results of the Ukrainian First League Championship for the season-2023/2024, the team that secures first place will earn the right to be promoted and play in the Ukrainian Women's Championship of the higher league for the 2024/2025 season.

Teams finishing tenth and eleventh in the higher league, as well as teams securing second and third places in the first league, will compete in playoff matches to determine their right to participate in the Ukrainian Women's Championship of the higher league for the 2024/2025 season. The playoff stage consists of two matches (June 1st and June 6th) — home and away (10V—3H, 11V—2H).
