The credit for this goes primarily to the players of "Left Bank," who managed to win away against "Prykarpattia" (1:0) and closed in on "Ingulets," which dropped points under pressure in Volochysk (0:1).

"Carpathians" strengthened their leading position, although the struggle with "Mariupol" (3:1) was tough. The visitors even opened the score, but thanks to the support of fans and the persistence of Brazilian forward Igor Neves, the hosts managed to break through. However, after the final whistle, the head coach of the green-and-whites Myron Markevych noted that "Carpathians" are still premature to celebrate as the strongest team in the first league. Much will depend on how Lviv's players perform in upcoming matches — against "Left Bank" and "Ingulets," their closest pursuers.

"Epicon" has also secured a place in the top group after today's victory over "Victoria" (3:1).

As for the relegation zone, unexpectedly ambitious "Bukovyna" lost points against "Kremen" (0:0). On the other hand, spring surge of "Hust" (three consecutive wins, 10 goals scored) helped Volodymyr Tychkin's team leave the dangerous area.
