Today, the national team of Ukraine departed by evening train from Kyiv to Przemysl, and on March 14 they will begin training in Marbella, Spain. Before leaving, players and representatives of the coaching staff met with the press at the Central Railway Station of the capital.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Shevchenko.

"I want to greet our team and wish them a good preparation for very important matches. I wish our players inspiration and strength! They have an important task ahead: to qualify for European elite status. I also want to welcome the U-17 national team, which will participate in Euro 2024 on Cyprus," — said Andriy Shevchenko.

Also, the President of the UAF announced the start of a joint gathering with the Superhumans Center team, a nationwide modern center for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and psychological support for war victims. Its goal is to raise funds for sports prostheses for our wounded defenders, and Andriy Shevchenko called on everyone to join this initiative.

Next, the head coach of Ukraine's national team, Serhiy Rebrov, took the floor.

"I am grateful to the President of UAF for coming here to support our boys. I also thank everyone who will be cheering for us, as these are very important matches. I am confident in our strength, confident in our boys and we will do everything to fulfill the task set before us.

We have not gathered almost four months. It is very important for the boys to meet again and see each other. Regarding Victor Zinchenko's injury, there are 28 footballers in our camp, so we plan to seriously prepare regardless of any case. But, of course, we would be very happy if Victor could help us," — said the coach of blue-and-yellow.

Players from Ukraine's national team also took part in the press conference — goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan and midfielder Volodymyr Bratchko, who was called up to the main team for the first time.

"Every time I come to a national team gathering, I feel very good emotions. I am glad to see all the boys. We understand the importance of the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina and want to prepare well at the gathering. All of us dream of bringing our dreams to life and qualifying for Euro. I also call on everyone to join the gathering announced by Andriy Shevchenko," — said Georgiy Bushchan.

"Happy to be called up to the national team. I really want to establish myself there. Also, I call on our supporters to support us. We very much want to qualify for Euro and make the whole country happy," — added Volodymyr Bratchko.

Recall that the semi-final match of the Euro 2024 qualification play-offs Bosnia and Herzegovina - Ukraine will take place on March 21 in Zenica and start at 8:45 PM local time (9:45 PM Kyiv time).
