The distribution of tickets for Euro 2025 will take place based on the results of the next league cycle. Teams compete in groups of four or three (League C). The top eight teams from League A (first and second places) qualify directly to the final tournament along with host Switzerland.

Seven remaining spots will be contested in two rounds of playoffs. In the first round, teams finishing third and fourth in League A groups play against group winners and three best runners-up from League C groups. Eight winners advance to the second round.

In another path, four group winners and two best second-place finishers from League B compete against remaining second-placed teams and four third-placed teams in League B. Six winners proceed to the second round.

In the second playoff round, 14 national teams directly contest seven spots at Euro 2025 final tournament where a total of 16 participants are expected.

Paths for teams in knockout matches will be adjusted as necessary to account for Switzerland's participation in League B while representing the host country at Euro.

If Switzerland finishes first, second or third in its group in League B, then the best fourth-placed team from that division will participate in the playoffs.

League promotion and relegation

Simultaneously, teams also compete for positions in the next national league cycle starting 2025—2027:

— winners, second and third place holders in League A groups remain in League A;

— second-place finishers and three best third-place finishers from League B groups stay in League B;

— second, third and fourth-placed teams in League C groups remain in League C;

— group winners in Leagues B and C move up to a higher division;

— fourth-place finishers from A and B league groups, as well as the worst third-placed team in League B drop down to a lower division.
