The 2023/2024 club season, Ukraine national team half-back and Belgian "Westerlo" player Serhiy Sydorchuk began as captain of Kyiv's "Dynamo."

He managed to play seven matches for the white-and-blue team, scoring one goal, assisting once, and receiving two yellow cards.

On September 5, 2023, Belgian "Westerlo" announced the transfer of an experienced half-back. Ten days later, Sydorchuk made his debut for his new club. Since then, the 32-year-old Ukrainian has participated in all 14 matches of his team in Pro League. Each time, Serhiy started as part of the initial lineup, and was only substituted at the very end of three games. On November 4, during a match against "Leuven," our footballer scored his first goal for "Westerlo."

With Sydorchuk in the squad, the team lost only four times and managed to enter the winter and New Year holidays outside of the relegation zone in Belgium's top division championship table.

The second half of the 2023/2024 season "Westerlo" will start on January 20, when they face "Brugge" away in the 21st round.
